Cocoa Beach Florida Community

Cocoa Beach Florida is a lovely residential community and a huge popular tourist destination. The Cocoa Beach Pier extends 842 feet out over the Atlantic. It was built in 1962 and soon became one of the East Coast’s surfing focal points. The pier has restaurants, bars, shops, fishing and beach rentals overlooking a wide, six-mile long sandy beach. Numerous outdoor festivals and surfing contests are held annually on the pier.

Cocoa Beach Recreation

The warm beaches and abundance of water make swimming, snorkeling, deep-sea diving, and of course, surfing, very popular at Cocoa Beach Florida. Almost any other kind of outdoor recreation can be found here, as well, including golf, tennis, hiking, biking, jet skiing or wind surfing. Cocoa Beach is well known for its restaurants, whether it’s seafood, Italian, Thai, gourmet, or just your basic diner, you will find it here. After dinner, relax at one of Cocoa Beach’s jazz clubs or beach side cafes.

Cocoa Beach Entertainment & Tourism

Cocoa Beach has numerous hotels, motels and vacation rentals in the area, many within walking distance of the beach. The Kennedy Space Center and the gambling ships at Port Canaveral are just minutes away. Cocoa Beach Florida is city with a long historic background and is one of the most popular beaches in Florida, partly because of its close proximity to Orlando. It seems to be a requirement for tourists visiting central Florida to make their way over to Cocoa Beach to witness in person the lure and the beauty of the area beaches and tourist destinations.

With historic homes next to large mansions and some of the best restaurants in Brevard County within walking distance, its easy to see why the residents of Cocoa Beach show the pride of close knit community not often seen anywhere is else in Florida.
