Welcome Home to Lake Washington Florida
Lake Washington Community
Lake Washington Florida is the largest lake in Brevard County Florida at 4,362 acres. It is the 41st largest lake in the state of Florida and is one of the lakes that make up the St. Johns River system. Located adjacent to the City of Melbourne, it is the single most important source of fresh water for the city and the surrounding areas.
Lake Washington Recreation
At the dead end of Lake Washington Road is Lake Washington Park. It is great for boating at the lake and one of the two lakes in Brevard County that you can see a beautiful sunset. The other one was two lakes downstream, Lake Poinsett. The park contains a playground for children, pavilions for birthday parties, and a water treatment plant outside of the park boundary called John A. Buckley Surface Water Treatment Plant.
